BOOKSIGNINGS

Multi-published author, Karen Kay, aka Gen Bailey, will be touring book stores within the greater Los Angeles/San Diego are, and its many communities, promoting her new book, SENECA SURRENDER, and signing copies of the book. Here is her schedule:

BOOK SIGNING: May 14th, Friday –6PM-8PM

I'm so sorry to have to cancel the book signing scheduled for May 14th at
6PM
at Katy Books in Houston, TX.

Yesterday, well into my 2 1/2 day drive to Houston, I learned that my
mother-in-law (who has been ill) took a turn for the worst and her doctors
are only giving her a few more days to live.  Needless to say, I turned
around and headed back home and now we are headed to Montana as quickly as
we can possibly get there.  Please forgive this cancellation.  We will
reschedule.

Paul and his mom

Warmest wishes,

Karen Kay/Gen Bailey

Out of the Mouth of Readers

"I loved your book. It was excellent. I'm really impressed. I can't wait until your new book to come out. I think you are an excellent writer." J.W. Texas

"I must say your descriptions are extremely excellent. I noticed I was almost able to picture myself in (the story). It's not very often in my search of novels that I come across a book that doesn't sound like it's a copy of another book by the same author." F.A. California

"I just finished reading (your book) and needed to tell you it was the best Indian romance I have read....It was so beautiful." E.M. New Jersey

"Thank you for (your book). The most beautiful love story I have ever read. JVDW New Mexico

"I bought your book ... two weeks ago and I've read it four times already. What a great book! I never laughed so hard." JML Oregon

"I still like the way you impart good information with your story. The reader learns without realizing it." S.A.H.

"I'm a big fan and would like to get my hands on more of your books."

"I just recently ran across your book, and became very intrigued with it. Sos much so I immediately ordered (more of your books). Not only do you weave a compelling love story, but the history you put in your books is very compelling to me." A. M. F. Washington

"I am writing to let you know how much I enjoy reading your books!.. I hope that you don't think this is silly but when I had read ((your book), I was so in to it, it had feltlike I was (the heroine). I couldn't put it down. P.N. Louisiana

"I want to let you know that I really like and enjoy your books. I also want to thank you for your great imagination and taking me to new worlds, bringing excitement, adventure and romance into my life. You are one of my favorite authors. L.P. Tennessee

"You writing and words speak to people in a special way." A. D.

"I have just recently finished reading one of your novels... I must admit that I am very impressed by your word usage and foresight all throughout the novel. In some places throughout the story I felt as though I, myself, were actually there within the story, witnessing all that took place. I enjoyed the thrill and adventure it caused me to have. I was even upset to have to put the book down for even the smallest instant. You captured my attention from beginning to end, and I was overwhelmed that a story had such a stronghold over me." J.N.

"It was (one of your books) that started my love of reading historical romance. Thank you." S.R.

"I love your books. I have read everything you have written." I.P.

"I have read a few (books) about the American Indians in the past and liked them but was never drawn to them as I am now. After reading (your book) I can't get enough of them. I have since then went to our local book store and have ordered all of your books that wer still in print. I have loved each and every one of them. I enjoyed them so much that I would read them in about two days sometimes, staying up until 5:00 am." K.Z.

"This was a great book. I can't say that enough. I can't wait for the next one. I love finding new-to-me authors that you find you love their books."{ C.

"About a year ago I checked out your book from my local library. After I got it home and began reading it, I couldn't put it down because you see I can very much relate to (the character). S.M.

"It's like you live it when you write...it's so life like at times for me. I mean I feel as tho I'm in that era when I'm reading. It makes me wish sometimes that I had lived back in that time zone." C.B.

"I'm writing to let you know I'm in love with your books." B.C. Indiana

"I loved your book. I read it over and over again. " R.R.

"Please continue to write your books as they are teh kind that when you start reading you want to keep reading them. Your talent for writing is a gift." T. S. Pennsylvania

"You are such a great writer that I love every one of your books. I never tire of them. J.W. Texas

"The last of the four book set was a little different than I expected and therefore it held my interest totally. I couldn't put it down until the last page. Then I reread it the next day. The following week-end I reread the four book series and found a few things I missed the first time. Your books are so entertaining and very instructive at the same time." A.M.F.

Now I want to talk about romance books. Those who know me will no doubt be expecting my snobbish views on how they portray unrealistic situations and set women up for disapointment, and in the case of a certain popular vampire book just plain bad writing.
But I am going to suprise you now, I stumbled across a writer some time ago called Karen Kay, she writes historical romances. Her books are well written and different from a lot of the romance novels out there today and "gasp" not a vampire in sight. Her books focus on American Indians and their culture which make them interesting as well as an escape. And well now my little book store is closed as are so many independent book shops (it's a crime) I am searching for a new way to promote her work. Karen has recently begun to write under the pen name of Gen Bailey, her first book under this name was Black Eagle, it was a different style for her but well recieved by her fans and her second book Seneca Surrender is out in April. I urge you to take a chance on her books, like me you will be surprised. V.B. England
